I have had my solo practice since May 1981. I have had broad experience in the general practice of law with continuing focus on wills, trusts, estate planning, and estate administration.
Transaction law; wills, trusts, estates, estate planning, estate administration, post- death property and tax administration.
Associate attorney for Ron Smith & Associates.
Former Judge Pro Tem for Marion Superior Court.
I want my clients to be curious. The more my clients know about a subject, the better outcome we can produce working together.
I will review client-prepared documents.
I am willing to assist clients to accomplish their goals.
I decided to become a lawyer at a young age. I was attracted to helping people resolve life's problems, and to understanding the legal structure of our society.
Until I graduated from law school, I held a number of construction and manufacturing jobs. That background allows me to understand and appreciate the life experience of the ordinary person.
I enjoy helping people accomplish their goals, and organize and plan their lives in a competent and rewarding manner. A well-planned estate makes a graceful exit from this life. I enjoy helping people leave that legacy. I also enjoy helping people make the lives of their survivors better as a result of my clients' forethought.
Helping people.
I am a solo practitioner. All my clients deal directly with me.
I do not possess an overbearing personality. I listen to my clients' concerns and goals, and help them accomplish their objectives with my advice and direction. I do not force any decisions on my clients, and let them make final judgments on their issues. I am analytical and organized by nature, and have a good work ethic. These are essential ingredients to good estate planning and estate administration.
I enjoy my family and friends, traveling, and running my practice.

Yes, fixed rates for estate planning start at $595, and depend on the nature of the client's estate and the work the client wants. I will quote a fixed rate for estate administration once I have examined the estate circumstances.
My current hourly rate is subject to change.
