Example Cases

A memorable case that I had involved a man charged with a crime that he didn't commit, but felt forced to take a deal because he had appointed counsel. The true culprit came forward, but there was opposition to allowing him to withdraw his plea. It was a long drawn out battle, but ultimately the court ruled to allow my client to withdraw his plea and my client was released from custody. He has been able to lead a very productive life since that time. It is an awesome thing to get a truly innocent person released from custody. I will always fight hard to defend the innocent.

Firm Focus and History

I am an experienced criminal defense trial attorney. I have handled almost 18 jury trials to verdict and have prepared countless more that were settled on the courthouse steps. In addition to jury trials, I have handled well over 200 preliminary hearings and law and motion evidentiary hearings. Over the past five years, I have been in court nearly every day handling cases and advocating vigorously for my clients. Based on my experience, I have a track record of gaining successful outcomes for my clients, including acquittals at trial, dismissed charges, reductions in charges, and alternatives to jail time.

My office was established when I decided to work vigorously to defend individuals charged with crimes and use my knowledge of the criminal justice system to help people facing losing their liberty, their jobs, and their good name. Since in private practice, I have had successful outcomes for my clients.

Previous Employment Summary

I am a former Deputy District Attorney for the County of San Bernardino. During law school, I also worked as a law clerk for the Riverside County District Attorney's Office. Given these experiences, I have the inside perspective on law enforcement and the court system in both counties and can use this knowledge to help obtain a positive resolution to criminal cases.
