Our firm works only in the areas of international and immigration law, with an emphasis on family and employment visas, green cards, and citizenship.
Established in 2001. Practicing exclusively in immigration law for 10 years.
I have had my own practice since graduation from law school in 2000. Our main offices have been located in Jacksonville, Florida for 10 years.
Our new offices in Marietta, Ohio were opened in 2008 and serve the mid-Ohio Valley, including Parkersburg and Wheeling, West Virginia and Athens, Cambridge, St. Clairsville, and Zanesville, Ohio.
I serve as the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) liaison to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) district offices, which requires quarterly activity with local government officials in immigration services. I also do pro bono work for AILA and Jacksonville Legal Aid and regularly sponsor free community programs to educate people about current immigration laws.
I am always providing clients with books, websites, and resources to educate themselves. It makes our jobs easier. Nolo provides excellent materials including web articles and legal books in this area of law.
I am always willing to review documents prepared by clients. This is often in preparation for filing a large or complex application, or in preparation for a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services interview.
Yes, but because of the complexities of immigration law, I think clients should always seek some kind of legal assistance (even if it is just document review or attendance at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services interviews).
I am willing to advocate and help others through our governmental red tape. This career fits my personality. I am very straightforward, love a good challenge, and am always eager to accomplish a difficult task.
I am married to a first generation American, who also happens to be a military officer. Together, we travel extensively and are always eager to learn other cultures in our world.
This area of law chose me. When I was graduating from law school, there were hardly any attorneys practicing in immigration law in our area of the state. There was a great need for someone willing to specialize in this area. Our business clients needed this expertise as well. They had foreign employees that were in need of job transfers and our world was becoming much more international. Globalization was beginning to take place. My initial years of practicing law in Florida were also conducive to this body of law. It has a diverse workforce with many international cultures that are represented across the state.
It is constantly demanding and intellectual work, but the rewards to the individuals and families we assist are life-altering. We remain close to our clients for many years after their cases are successfully finalized.
I have several wonderful paralegals, who are attentive to all of my clients' needs. We work together as a great team, and produce high quality work, while keeping our clients happy and informed.
I am extremely efficient, detail-oriented and personable. I get work done quickly and effortlessly. I am able to put my clients at ease with their situation.
Travel, travel, travel!
