Firm Focus and History

Central Coast Bankruptcy focuses solely on consumer and business bankruptcies, Chapters 7 and 13.

Upon graduation from law school and passing the bar, I wanted to start my own firm - Central Coast Bankruptcy was founded in 2008.

Previous Employment Summary

Prior to going to law school, I worked on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in Germany. I then moved back to San Francisco and worked on the Options Exchange there. I later was hired as a Vice President for two major financially-based websites and worked between San Francisco and New York for over 10 years.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I feel it is always a good idea for people to educate themselves about issues that affect their lives. I welcome questions and concerns from my clients as well. There is however, a great deal of misinformation available, which is why I feel if one is considering bankruptcy, it is wise to employ an attorney for help.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I ask clients to bring original documents to my firm (bills, etc.), as they are required for filing bankruptcy.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I do not coach clients who want to represent themselves.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

For the intellectual intrigue and the ability to strategize with clients about how to use the law to improve their lives.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

I am a father to two children.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I chose to go into the field of bankruptcy as I was very aware of how easily people can fall upon financial hard times. I feel that bankruptcy law has the ability to clearly help people, relieve their stress and get them on the road to financial freedom.

What do you like best about your career?

I had always wanted to go into an area of law in which I could make a clear difference in people's lives.

Tell us about your law firm:

I am very fortunate to have four outstanding people working with me. All of my employees are experienced, knowledgeable and take the time to give all clients the attention they deserve.

What are your strengths and style?

My greatest strength is my compassion for people and my knowledge of bankruptcy law. I give each client the time they need to explain his or her situation. I meet people at their convenience and after-hours if need be. I understand how frightening and stressful it can be to consider bankruptcy, which is why I try to be there for my clients every step of the way.

Personal Interests:

My personal interests include golf, reading, and spending time with my wife and two sons.
