What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

Knowledge is power. I respect my well-informed clients and treat them as partners in their pursuit of justice. Self-knowledge of the law helps increase a clients' options as we can pursue novel approaches to complex matters.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I am ready to help my clients protect and enforce their rights at reasonable rates in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Thus, I welcome reviewing well-prepared clients' documentation.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

In this tough economy, financial necessity often dictates clients to represent themselves. I have been very successful in coaching my clients to obtain favorable results and encourage them to explore all of their options.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I believe that people are entitled to honest and effective legal representation. They are entitled to know their options, to have the law explained in clear terms, and to have the opportunity to protect their rights. I enjoy the feeling I get when I have helped someone, when I have won their case or successfully resolved their dispute. I am quick on my feet, credible and tenacious.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

I have served as an adviser to the boards of directors of two Fortune 100 financial institutions. I have the leadership ability and communication skills to effectively manage litigation. I am an endurance athlete having competed in seven marathons and successfully finished the Ironman triathlon. I have the stamina and courage to go the distance for my clients. I work tirelessly to get a successful outcome. I am also a scholastic chess champion with the ability to think strategically and tactically. I can foresee future moves of the opponents as well as the big picture in litigation.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I chose litigation because I have the skills to excel in my field. I am tenacious, experienced, and highly motivated. I genuinely care for my clients and am invested in obtaining successful outcomes in the areas of family law, business law and employment law.

As a positive, straight-forward litigator, I always tell my clients the truth about the strengths and weaknesses of their cases.
