We focus on DUI, criminal, traffic and immigration law. Whether you are facing a simple speeding ticket or serious charges like a DUI, DWI, or criminal action that could impact the rest of your life, you should understand your rights and be aware of your options. Before you make a decision as to how to handle your criminal or traffic matter, talk with an experienced professional so that you can make an informed decision about what is best for you.
The Law Offices of William L. Fay can assist you in understanding what you are facing, what legal defenses might apply in your case, and what options are available to you.
Our firm was established in 2005 to serve clients with DUI, criminal, traffic and immigration legal needs in Wake County.
Before law school, I worked for Lucent Technologies selling Optical Networking Equipment. I was responsible for nationwide distribution sales of fiber optic cable, with global responsibility for the Saavis account.
Certifications: NHTSA / IACP Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Practitioner Course; Check www.williamfay.com for the other awards (academic excellence awards, etc.).
Clients should educate themselves as much as possible to fully understand their rights and know their options. An attorney can help guide them through this process.
I am glad to review documents prepared by clients during a consultation.
I am glad to provide advice to clients who choose to represent themselves and do not need an attorney. I will recommend retaining an attorney if the circumstances become complicated and formal counsel is needed.
I have always wanted to be an attorney.
My experience as a law student, including law journal editor, judicial externship and focused studies, built a solid foundation for my law career. This foundation is strengthened by working within the court system each day, defending my clients' rights during trial. My life experience as a husband, father and employee before I entered the legal profession all contribute to my professional ethics and values, making me a better lawyer.
I believe very strongly that everyone is entitled to Due Process of Law.
Defending my client's rights, helping others and the intellectual challenge building a legal defense can provide.
My associate Jim Melo is an experienced criminal, traffic and immigration attorney available to help clients if I am in court, as are my attentive bilingual staff.
I believe in providing direct, effective and compassionate counsel to my clients. I will defend their rights with integrity and professionalism.
My work and family keep me busy, but I am an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Rams & Blues.
