Example Cases

People v. Client (Wayne County, Michigan, domestic violence case). I convinced the jury that the alleged victim in the case was actually the aggressor and the jury returned a "not guilty" verdict, clearing my client of all charges.
People v. Client (Oakland County, Michigan, Sexual Delinquency case). I, through pre-trial motion strategy, convinced the prosecutor to drop the harsh sexual delinquency charge, which exposed the defendant to a potential life sentence, and to allow the defendant to plead to a misdemeanor.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

Clients should educate themselves and be familiar with the general legal process. However, when a client is charged with a criminal offense, and when the client's liberty is at stake, I recommend the assistance of an attorney.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I have no objection to reviewing documents prepared by clients if they are relevant to the case.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

When a person's liberty is at stake, I do not recommend self-representation.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I enjoy the courtroom and helping people.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

I am Michigan-born and educated and familiar with the area and its people. I am committed to providing a quality service to my clients because of my work ethic and commitment to excellence.

Because I enjoy the courtroom and helping people.

What do you like best about your career?

When I help clients who are being railroaded find vindication.

Understanding Fees

Nolo's Licensing Check

Attorneys have passed a licensing check. Nolo has confirmed that every member attorney has a valid license and is in good standing with the applicable bar associations upon joining the directory.

Directory lawyers are required to notify Nolo immediately if they become the subject of any disciplinary action by any bar association.
