I was in a general practice from 1993-2000. In 2000, I opened my own practice and specialized in real property and family law, while continuing to do bankruptcy work. I took my family on a trip around the word from June of 2007 to June of 2008. Since returning, I have focused exclusively on personal bankruptcy filings, uncontested and contested divorces, and foreclosure defense and mortgage modifications in the Jacksonville, Florida area.
We help people get a fresh start on life through bankruptcy relief, uncontested divorce actions and foreclosure defense/mortgage modifications in the Jacksonville, Florida area.
We are keenly aware that good people get into circumstances and situations that they never thought possible. We know that your past does not determine your future and that anyone can make mistakes and wind up in a position that they did not expect. It is our hope that people who come to our office and utilize our services can get a fresh start on life.
I was with a general practice firm from 1993-2000. I learned how to do deal with almost any type of client, situation and problem. As a general practitioner you learn a little bit about a lot of things. It's a great way to start in law so you have a broad understanding of all facets of the law and it helps you decide where you want to concentrate.
• I was on the Board of Directors for Jacksonville Area Legal Aid
• Past President of the Nassau County Bar Association
• Pro Bono Attorney of the year for the 4th Judicial Circuit
I think it's essential. The more informed clients are the better they are able to make quality decisions. An experienced attorney can help an informed client navigate the system and get through the divorce or bankruptcy in minimal time and with minimal stress.
It can be a good starting point since the client knows his or her situation better than anyone.
I think you need to either represent yourself or hire a lawyer. If you get caught in between you are in no man's land.
My friends told me that I needed to become a lawyer because I never wanted to lose an argument.
My 15 years of experience have helped me to understand that divorce does not have to be a battle. It is normally much more productive to be pleasant to the other party, listen to the needs of my client and reach a solution that everyone can live with. The children are the main beneficiaries of that approach. Also, my background as a CPA helps me understand the financial part of bankruptcy and divorce.
I choose bankruptcy, mortgage foreclosure defense and family law because these areas create a lot of stress in peoples lives. Handled correctly these stresses can be mitigated, and I can help people get a fresh start on life.
I enjoy knowing that I have helped someone navigate the stress and difficulties of going through a divorce, a bankruptcy or a foreclosure.
Michelle has been with me for eight years and she is the best. She is patient, knowledgeable and can multi task like no one else. Everyone loves Michelle.
My strength is personal attention and attention to detail.
Watching my three children grow and develop. I also enjoy running, biking, adventures races, basketball and flag football-anything active.
