I was in a general practice from 1993-2000. In 2000, I opened my own practice and specialized in real property and family law, while continuing to do bankruptcy work. I took my family on a trip around the word from June of 2007 to June of 2008. Since returning, I have focused exclusively on personal bankruptcy filings, uncontested and contested divorces, and foreclosure defense and mortgage modifications in the Jacksonville, Florida area.

For Chapter 7 cases, the flat fee for Nolo clients begins at $1,200, plus the filing fee. The exact amount of the fee is determined by the complexity of the case, the number of creditors and anticipated additional services needed. Chapter 13 fees are based on a fee schedule set by the court but are typically around $2,000. Uncontested divorce fees start at $695 plus costs for Nolo clients. Foreclosure defense fees are typically $250 per month and mortgage modification is typically charged as a flat fee of $1,500 for Nolo clients.
