Firm Focus and History

The firm was established in 1998. We have a lot of litigation and trial experience. We started off practicing insurance defense, personal injury, criminal work and estates/complicated estates as well as planning and trusts.

We work mainly on submitting wills to the Court, getting it probated and helping the estate/family collect the assets, pay bills, transfer and distribute the property/estate. We handle administration processing as well. Many of our clients are from out of state.

Previous Employment Summary

I worked for a general practice firm where I did a lot of estate work, mostly in the area of wills and administration.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

Being informed about the process and what to expect is very important for clients. An informed and educated client makes for a happier client and a more productive relationship.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I will always be happy to review client-prepared documents.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I am always willing to coach clients and have done so in the past.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I like to help people and alleviate the stress of the elderly and their families. I enjoy helping families in times of need.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

I have been in the same position as many of my clients before; I was an executor of a large estate with litigation involved, so I know how it feels to be a client. I understand that communication and keeping the client informed is key.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I enjoy helping the elderly community and their families.

What do you like best about your career?

I like the freedom to work as hard as I want, but most of all, to help clients who are upset because they have lost a loved one. It's great when clients keep in touch after everything is resolved.

Tell us about your law firm:

I am the only full-time attorney, and I have two assistants who work part-time. The clients will generally deal with me 80-90% of the time. I communicate by email often, and the clients love it.

What are your strengths and style?

Since many of my clients and I have not met, I communicate with them via email, but I make sure that clients are fully informed of each step before and after it happens. I can always be reached by email or phone except for two weeks out of the year.

Personal Interests:

I like cars (Corvettes), walking, snorkeling and traveling.
