The main focus of my practice is criminal, DUI, and traffic defense.
I left a government position and opened my own law practice in May of 2008.
I worked for the Coles County State's Attorney's Office. I was employed as an assistant state's attorney.
Charter Member of Lake Land College Alumni Association's Distinguished Alumni Society.
Informed clients that stay in communication with me help me do my job better.
If a client brought me a document dealing with an area of law I was competent in, I would be willing to take a look at it.
In the criminal context, I always suggest that a person ask that the court to appoint a public defender to represent him or her if he or she doesn't have the finances to hire a lawyer.
My natural talents and abilities (e.g., reading and writing) lend
themselves well to the practice of law. I am also passionate about
fighting for the rights of others.
I practice in the location I have lived in most of my life. I understand what makes people tick in Central Illinois and what gets them ticked.
I love the practice of criminal law. It definitely has its frustrations, but it is exciting and fulfilling.
I enjoy guiding people through their legal problems.
I am a solo practitioner, so all of my clients deal directly with me.
I don't try to be someone I am not. Whether speaking to a jury or a client in my office, I am myself. I think genuineness is my greatest strength.
I enjoy watching a good movie or reading a good book. Also, if the weather permits, I enjoy riding my bike or hiking in the woods.
