Example Cases

• A trial involving medical malpractice in which a doctor ignored a woman's family history of ovarian and breast cancer, and recommended a surgery which did not address her symptoms and risk for cancer. One year later she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and subsequently died.

• A case in which three people were electrocuted at a bus stop in Wisconsin.

• A case involving the death of a 47 year-old father of two as a result of failure to diagnose a cancerous tumor.

• A case where a 58 year-old man suffered brain damage due to an overdose of morphine after surgery.

• A case involving the death of a 72 year-old man as a result of nursing home neglect.

• A case involving the death of three family members crushed in their car by a semi-tractor after the driver lost control of his truck which became air born and landed on the family's car.

Firm Focus and History

While I have been practicing as a Personal Injury attorney for 30 years, Munday and Nathan was founded in 1991.

Our firm specializes in personal injury cases involving significant injuries resulting from medical malpractice, product defects, truck, rail and aviation errors and negligence, road and building design defects, automobile collisions, police misconduct, premise defects, slip and fall accidents and cases involving nursing home neglect.

Prior to Munday and Nathan, I was a partner in its predecessor firm, Lane and Munday.

I am currently serving on the Board of Directors at the Children's Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Wilmette, District 39 Foundation, the Optimists Club.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

We are very aggressive in our investigation and prosecution of our client's claims, and are deeply committed to protecting our client's rights.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

We encourage our clients' participation and input to our investigations so that we leave no stone unturned!

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

We do not recommend that clients represent themselves.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I became a lawyer to help people who have been wronged or injured and to help change the practices, policies, or products which cause injuries.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

I have been a teacher, a cab driver, and a construction worker - and I understand and relate to people from all walks of life. As a result of my experience, I believe I can truly understand a client's life issues and be the best representative he or she can have.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I felt personal injury was the best field for me to help people.

What do you like best about your career?

Helping people and causing change that benefits society.
