At this point in my career, most of my cases are associated with money. I am either representing the injured with regard to a negligence claims, or assisting someone who needs a financial fresh start. However, many of the most memorable and personally rewarding cases I've handled were in the area of criminal defense when I was younger.

Abel Tobaygo Sisek is a full-service firm dedicated to helping consumers and small businesses deal with the unexpected. We offer quality legal representation at affordable rates. The Attorneys and staff at Abel Tobaygo have extensive experience in personal injury, business litigation, consumer and business bankruptcy.
I began actively practicing law in 1989 and have been practicing bankruptcy and personal injury law for over 20 years.
I have been in the private practice of law for over 20 years.
We encourage clients to educate themselves, whether through self-help books published by Nolo Press or through community awareness programs. We believe that when the public is well-informed, they make better choices. Well-informed clients are in a better position to recognize the need for a lawyer when protecting their rights and often more effectively make use of legal counsel to resolve their difficulties.
We encourage all clients to review important legal documents with a member of our firm before signing any agreement or using a general form they obtained off the internet. Although many matters may seem routine, a small mistake can often prove costly. For that reason, we strongly encourage our clients to lets us review any contract presented to them for execution or any legal form they may have downloaded from the internet.
There are a few areas where self-help is more cost-effective than using legal counsel, but in the long run, that list is a very short one. In our experience, nearly all clients who have come to us would have benefited significantly had they simply asked their attorney "is this a good idea" or "what do you think." In most cases, the nominal cost associated with a brief phone call or document review would have saved the client a great deal of time and expense.
I wanted to use my God given abilities to help others.
I grew up just outside of a very small farming community where everyone knew everyone else. I learned early on that your reputation and personal integrity will either make you or break you. If more people, including most attorneys, would simply treat others as they would like to be treated, we probably wouldn't need near as many attorneys.
My focus has been placed where I can make the most impact for the benefit of the little guy. I've always rooted for the underdog.
It has provided me with the unique opportunity to help other people, learn something new, and feed my family all at the same time. I also like that almost every day is different.
We have nine people here, and none of us would have fit in most large firms. They say eagles rarely fly in flocks; however, I think we are an exception to that rule. I believe this is partially due to the business model that we have developed that allows for individuals to work together, yet we are all not only allowed but encouraged to develop our own individual style of running our respective end of the business.
I believe that my best attribute is a humble confidence in myself. There are very few situations that I fear, as I truly believe that most problems are simply opportunities to grow and expand our presently perceived skill set.
I enjoy my work, spending time with my family, working with the cub/boy scouts organization to help develop the next generation of leaders, and devoting time to my church and the community at large.

Yes, we offer a free consultation. We do not set a time limit on our initial consultation and will generally spend whatever time appears reasonably necessary to understand the client's problem and his or her objectives. However, our average initial consultation runs anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour in length.
