From 1994 until 2006, our firm primarily focused on fathers' rights. Since 2006, due to changes to legislature, our firm has shifted to focusing on parental rights, to custody and support issues.
Our firm started in 1994 with Thomas Kendall as a sole practitioner, and I was the paralegal. The office grew to include two offices, several attorneys and paralegals. In 2004, I became licensed as an attorney, and in 2008, the office was changed to a partnership between Thomas and I. Currently, no other attorneys are associated with the firm.
While in law school, I interned and made court appearances for the Department of Child Support Services. Prior to my bar admission in 2004, I was a family law paralegal for ten years handling dissolution of marriage, paternity disputes, custody battles, support litigation with Department of Child Support Services and appeals arising out of these matters.

Wonderful. Most people I see in court are upset not because the result was not fair or equitable, but rather, they misunderstood what the law allows.
I am very willing.
I am willing to an extent insofar as evidence laws cannot be taught overnight.
I worked as a paralegal for ten years in family law. I enjoyed helping people through one the most difficult times of their life and wanted to provide the full service instead of just paperwork.
Because I worked in the real world before choosing to become a lawyer, I can apply street sense as well as book smarts to my litigation skills.
Family law practice is highly intensive with daily court appearances, which keeps me active and sharp.
The smile on children's faces when they get to see their parent.
I am part of a two-attorney firm, wherein the other attorney is my brother and the office manager is my sister-in-law. Also, my assistant is worth her weight in gold and my clients stay in contact with her even after the process is over!
I believe that it is important to be civil and courteous both in court and out of court to my colleagues and other parties, with the understanding that I will effectively and zealous argue for my client's position.
I enjoy family time, traveling, classic cars, and Harley Davidsons.
Cathy.
