After spending over eleven years working in boutique business law firms, I came to the conclusion that the typical law firm approach to the practice of law was often incompatible with meeting the goals and expectations of small business, entrepreneurs, and individuals in need of my services. I established my practice with the singular goal of practicing law differently (in a good way) than what many businesses have experienced from traditional law firms.
I am a member of various local bar associations and professional groups.
It's important for clients to have a good understanding of the law because the law impacts almost all facets of operating a successful business. Whether it's an employee, landlord/tenant or contract issues, clients with an understanding of the law have an important tool in becoming successful.
Providing cost-effective legal representation is an important goal of my firm, which means that I'm happy to review documents prepared by, or for clients.
I do not coach clients who represent themselves in litigation matters. The issues and procedural aspects of business and intellectual property matters are generally too complex for pro se clients.
The law impacts all facets of life, whether personal or business. I became a lawyer because it provides me the opportunity to interact and participate with a diverse group of clients in need of my problem solving skills.
Working in sales and technology business prior to entering law school has enabled me to become a strategic business thinker. I have a proven ability to bring creative solutions to complex transactions in order to meet the business and legal needs of clients.
My prior business and technology experience lends itself extremely well to a business law and intellectual property practice.
I enjoy assisting clients protect their intellectual property assets. I also enjoy helping clients grow their businesses through effective risk management and asset protection strategies.
I am a solo practitioner, so all my client deal directly with me (and sometimes an assistant).
I am highly skilled and dedicated to providing cost effective and responsive legal representation. I strive to give every client the personal attention they require and deserve. Analyzing risk, weighing the benefits and identifying goals to help you grow your business.
I enjoy photography, technology, sports and my family (not necessarily in that order).
