Firm Focus and History

I have been practicing insolvency law and bankruptcy since 1982. I served as a bankruptcy trustee for more than 16 years. I have been involved in almost 15,000 cases, which included the reorganization and liquidation of numerous businesses that cut across a variety of industries from hotels and entertainment, to dairy farming, manufacturers, and retailers.

Because Haberbush & Associates, LLP restricts its practice to legal matters involving business disputes, debtors, creditors, asset purchasers and fiduciaries in situations related to insolvency we are able to bring expertise to every circumstance involving the resolution of disputes between business owners and the negotiation, enforcement, defense, or eradication of claims, liens, judgments and security interests, including those involving taxes. We take pride in crafting innovative, creative and practical solutions to clients' often complex legal problems.

Previous Employment Summary

I have been the principal of Haberbush & Associates, LLP from January 2006 until the present. I was also the principal of Haberbush Feinberg, LLP from November 2003 through December 2005. I was the principal of Haberbush & Campbell, LLP from February 1996 through October 2003. I have also been the CEO of Equitable Transitions, Inc. since October 2003. Additionally, I was a member of the law firm of Roquemore Pringle & Moore, Inc. from 1987 through 1996, during which time I chaired the firm's debtor-creditor, in solvency and bankruptcy department. From 1982 until 1987, I was an associate of Sulmeyer, Kupetz, Baumann & Rothman, Inc.

Activities and Awards

I serve as a disciplinary hearing officer for the California State University Long Beach and as a neutral arbitrator for the National Arbitration Forum.

Nolo's Licensing Check

Attorneys have passed a licensing check. Nolo has confirmed that every member attorney has a valid license and is in good standing with the applicable bar associations upon joining the directory.

Directory lawyers are required to notify Nolo immediately if they become the subject of any disciplinary action by any bar association.
