What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

While the legal system may seem intricate and daunting, we make sure clients fully understand the complexities of the law and how their individual cases pertain to it. This joint cooperation with the client creates a strong base for dealing with legal issues.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

We are more than willing to review the documents prepared by clients due to the fact that the more information we are provided with, the better we can handle the cases at hand. The communication and interaction we establish with our clients is vital to our success.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

This is not applicable to our law practice.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

The legal system is such a fascinating field because of the interpretive challenges it presents and because of its dominating establishment in our government and society. Helping people overcome their legal troubles in such a system is truly rewarding.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

I would have to attribute my education to fostering my understanding and knowledge as a lawyer. In addition, the combination of my birth in Guam, education in Texas and California, legal practice in New York and world travels has opened me up to different cultures and people.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

Our firm's focus on criminal defense presents us with the challenge to pursue justice.

What do you like best about your career?

I like the relationship that I have with the other lawyers at my firm because we work together on all the cases to ensure the best for our clients. This relationship is very valuable.

Tell us about your law firm:

I serve as the managing partner and my team consists of four other seasoned criminal defense lawyers. We have an excellent support staff, a team of investigators, and consultants who assist with client case research as well.

What are your strengths and style?

Our firm is founded upon the principle that the lawyers, interns, and office assistants work as a team for each case. We function as an integrated team for the purpose of providing the most effective legal representation.
