Your Low-Price Lancaster Divorce Attorney

Legal Topic

Divorce

Preferred New Clients

I like to represent clients who are honest, straightforward, and who do not want to use the courts for an improper purpose such as to get back at an ex-spouse. I represent professionals, business owners, and corporations, but I especially enjoy helping the "underdogs" who have a meritorious case but find themselves in court against a Goliath of a legal adversary and need someone to go toe to toe against them and defend their legal rights.

Example Cases

I've opposed numerous ex-parte or emergency cases where the other party's attorney sought an emergency change in custody without merit. The attorneys were counting on my clients not being able to afford an attorney and thus gain an advantage. I was able to take such cases on short notice and was victorious in all of them.

Firm Focus and History

I established the Law Office of Jesus Zuniga in 2000 in Lancaster as a divorce lawyer solo operation. Prior to that, I worked for another divorce attorney. I never liked working for big firms. As a solo practitioner, I can offer clients more flexibility and solutions tailored to their divorce and related family law matters.

Our Lancaster, California divorce lawyers handle all aspects of family law and related matters, both simple and complex. Our divorce lawyers also provide other services to our clients, including wills, trusts, and probate work.

Previous Employment Summary

My previous employment includes working as an attorney in a different divorce and family law firm.

Activities and Awards

I have served as a mediator for family law and civil cases in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. I have also helped the court settle cases that were lingering for years.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I encourage clients to educate themselves. However, I strongly encourage the client to at least talk to three attorneys in addition to whatever other resources the client is using.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I am happy to review documents prepared by clients.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I am willing to prepare clients to attend court on their own. At our Lancaster, California divorce attorneys' office, we offer full representation as well as limited scope representation for divorce, family law, probate, and other related matters.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I decided to be a lawyer to help people get justice. I had seen too many instances of people without adequate legal guidance robbed of justice.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

I have worked with a diverse client base and dealt often with recurring family law issues. For a period of seven years, I dealt almost exclusively in family law matters.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

What do you like best about your career?

I enjoy solving difficult problems for our clients.
