My law firm was established January 1, 1997.
Our firm serves clients who find themselves in the middle of life's most difficult transitions. We provide our clients with excellent legal representation and seek to empower them as they work their way through the legal system.
I was trained as a teacher and worked several years as an educator before becoming an attorney.
I have been a judge pro tem for the San Bernardino County Superior Court.
I believe my clients should have an excellent grasp of the legal issues involved in their case. People need knowledge and information to make informed choices which will affect their future. I believe knowledge empowers; therefore, I encourage my clients to learn, explore and begin making educated choices.
I am willing to review documents prepared by clients. I charge my hourly rate to review documents.
I am willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves. I charge my hourly rate to coach a client on court appearances.
As I reviewed my options, I wanted a profession that was flexible, and had opportunities for change and variety. I also wanted a profession which would provide continuing intellectual challenges. The legal field has fulfilled my expectations.
An attorney must be able to communicate and persuade within the framework of law. My academic background provided me with tools for written communication. My experience in education provided additional experience in listening to others, verbal communication as well as dealing with people of various ages and cultural background. People seek out legal advice and representation when they are in trouble.
I enjoy pace of my practice, I get to be in court almost everyday. My particular areas of practice include many disciplines. Attorneys who practice family law get to deal with property issues, business issues, contract issues, complex issues of legal procedure, as well as what would generally be considered family law, guardianship, conservatorship and probate issues.
I like the intellectual challenge and interaction with people that my career offers me.
I am a sole practitioner. I have a wonderful legal assistant who answers the phone in my office, talks to clients, relays messages, and keeps me organized for court. My paralegal drafts documents, obtains information from clients, and reminds me of deadlines. We enjoy working with our clients.
I am a person of integrity. I like people. Therefore, I work well with everyone. I am able to resolve matters for my clients when an agreement is appropriate. I am persistent. I can stick with difficult issues until they are resolved or we take them to trial. Despite my pleasant demeanor, I hate to lose. When I go to trial, I prepare to win.
I enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, I love to read, and I am a bit of a sports nut.
