Bankruptcy
I prefer to take on Personal Injury, Bankruptcy, and Estate cases.
PA, Nov 1981
Bar Number: 35381
Pennsylvania State and Federal Courts.
Pennsylvania Association of Justice.
I attend continuing education courses in Personal Injury, Bankruptcy and Estate Law.
I have handled hundreds and hundreds of bankruptcy cases through the years. The following are the most common cases that I have handled:
a) A client has little or no assets but has accumulated more credit card and other debt than they can ever hope to repay. They are hounded by collection calls and being threatened with utility shut offs. In those cases we can stop the calls, the threatened shutoff and eliminate most of all of the debt and give them an opportunity to make a fresh start.
b) A client has a home. Because of illness, a layoff they have gotten behind in their mortgage payments and their mortgage company is unwilling to negotiate a payment arrangement but instead wants them to accelerate the payments and be repaid in full. In addition, they may have accumulated additional credit card debt that they cannot repay. If the client has adequate income, we can compel the mortgage company to accept repayment of the arrears in full and spread out over five years. In addition, we can usually reduce and/or eliminate much of the additional debt that had accumulated.

My firm was established in 1984, serving Delaware County, PA.
I have a general practice. Most of my cases are either bankruptcy or personal injury.
1975-1978: Welfare Worker for State of Pennsylvania.
For my entire career I have offered a free phone consultation. I have spoken to thousands of potential clients and advised them as to whether they have a legal case. Often I advise them that they do not need my services at this time and how they can proceed on their own. I would prefer a client do something on their own rather than pay money well in excess of the benefit they can receive by having me do the work.
It depends on the case.
It depends on the case.
I like talking and thinking problems through.
Having been in the Welfare system because it gave me a sense that it is only through the legal system that.
For a number of years I was a welfare worker and became aware of how difficult it can be to be in very difficult financial circumstances. With my knowledge of the bankruptcy law, I am now in a far better position to assist not only people on welfare, but anyone in a difficult financial position.
Freedom and the challenge of trying to solve problems. Often the problems that need to be solved are in fact, not legal in nature.
I have been in practice for 24 years. I have two paralegals. They were the first two people that I hired and they have both been with me from the very beginning. They are smart, highly motivated and compassionate. They know as much as I do and with the exception of going into court can do everything that I can do.
I'm a bottom line type of guy who doesn't like to take a new case unless I am persuaded I can be of benefit to the potential client.
I enjoy politics and health. I cook and workout regularly.
