Nevada State Court, Nevada Federal Courts, U.S. Supreme Court.
National College for DUI Defense, Nevada Attorneys for Criminal Justice, Clark County Bar Association.
I have concentrated my CLE hours on training in DUI defense as that is a complicated field.
I once handled DUI defense on a client who hit a house and had a blood test .22 reduced to reckless driving. Additionally, I handled trial on a .13 breath test, and the client was found not guilty at trial. I also represented a client accused of sexual assault, but the police officer agreed not to file charges.

My firm handles only criminal defense cases. After leaving the Clark County (Las Vegas) District Attorney Office, having trained local police agencies, I started with another firm. In 2001, I decided to start my own practice working exclusively in criminal law.
I was Clark County Deputy District Attorney for approximately 6 years where I handled all types of cases including death penalty litigation. Thereafter, starting in 1997, I began handling criminal defense cases in everything from traffic tickets to murder.

Educating yourself is important. However, representation by a lawyer is critical. An experienced, respected attorney will help you navigate through the court system and have local knowledge concerning the prosecutor and Judge.
I encourage clients to be involved in their cases. It is important for a client to understand the legal system and the rules of evidence. You must accurately assess a case to have an idea of what evidence will be allowed into court.
I am unwilling to do so. If someone wants to represent themselves, they can go ahead. Too often, I have seen a novice destroy any relationship with the court. You may know your case, but you don't know the court.
I enjoy the challenge of learning new material and then how to explain that material to someone else.
I worked as a prosecutor, I also trained police officers; this gave me insight into how they view cases and how much effort they want to put into a case.
I find criminal law very interesting. The relationship between client and attorney in a criminal case is unlike any other relationship.
I like dealing with people and doing my best to help someone in their time of need.
I treat people how I want to be treated. You will be treated with respect and courtesy. I keep a manageable case load and handle only one area of law. This allows me to spend sufficient time on every case.
