Firm Focus and History

My firm was established in 2003. After practicing law for 13 years, I developed a solid client base and the desire to service clients based upon my philosophies.

My practice has always been dedicated to family law issues.

Previous Employment Summary

I have been a solo practitioner since 2003. Prior to being a solo practitioner, I worked for eight years in the family law department of Schnader Harrison Segal and Lewis, a large Philadelphia law firm. After that, I worked for five years at Ladov Bernbaum and Grossman a boutique law firm in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

Activities and Awards

I am a member of Doris Jonas Freed Inns of Court.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

An educated client is the best client. I promote learning and understanding, so I am confident that a client is making an informed decision. Notwithstanding, a client's self-education should never replace legal advice from a professional in the filed.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I believe strongly in a client's full participation in the process of their divorce, and will gladly review and edit client-prepared documents. An attorney, however, always needs to make the final decisions regarding what is contained in legal documents.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I am willing to assist clients who want to represent themselves with the express understanding by the client of the limited nature of my role in their case.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I wanted to do something more with my life and, in order to live up to my potential; I decided to pursue a career in law.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

Becoming a lawyer is a second career for me. Prior to law school I worked in fashion retail as a merchandising manager. As a sales/service professional, I learned how to deal with the public and resolve service-related problems.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

My clients are almost always at the worst point in their lives and it is satisfying to me to assist people, not only with the legal problems, but to assist them on a personal level as well. I also experienced divorce and custody issues in my personal life, which helps me understand the emotional issues underlying the legal process.

What do you like best about your career?

Assisting others and making a difference during a very difficult time in a client's life is the most rewarding part of my job.

Tell us about your law firm:

I am a solo practitioner and most clients deal directly with me. My secretary, however, is very knowledgeable and sensitive to my clients' needs.

What are your strengths and style?

I am patient, hard working and dedicated to what I do. I also fight hard for my clients. My style, however, is more personal and casual, as I believe that a personal and casual approach makes clients more comfortable and relaxed in the very difficult and emotional aspects of divorce.

Personal Interests:

I enjoy music, theater, dance and travel. I love animals and enjoy dog training.
