The firms practice is limited to consumer bankruptcy and small sole proprietorship business bankruptcy. We serve 31 counties in Indiana in both the Northern and Southern districts.
The practice was originally started April of 1996 at the Indianapolis location with one attorney and a receptionist. Over the years our clientèle has grown to where we now have two attorneys and five support staff in two locations.
Prior to commencing the practice I worked as a middle-market lender for Bank One in Columbus, OH.
Clients should attempt to become familiar on the process that bankruptcy will take them through. Often, this general information will prompt them ask specific questions as to our facts and issues.
As I don't practice any state court law, I would not feel comfortable reviewing documents for that venue. Likewise, since I am engaged in the bankruptcy case, there should be no need for review of bankruptcy documents.
Individuals who wish to represent themselves are subjecting themselves to risk and since I don't know the underlying facts I would be reluctant to "coach" a Pro Se debtor on times lines, documents or otherwise.
I like to assist people in accomplishing their goals. Being an attorney allows me to assist people in a meaningful way.
My education and banking experience allows a unique perspective on how a household or small business budget must function for the household or business to be successful in meeting its obligations.
Bankruptcy is an area of law that provides a tremendous benefit to the client at a relatively low cost. It provides a fresh start, new beginning or reorganizing so that they can keep what they have.
The best thing about my career is that I get to meet a lot of people in the process -- clients, attorneys, and trustees - all working to get people back on their feet.
We have a wonderful staff at the office that are experienced and know what to do when a client needs assistance. It may not be what you want to hear, but what you need to hear.
Our firm's strength is we have experienced attorneys and staff. We look for solutions for each client individually and make sure risks are identified prior to filing.
I especially enjoy spending time with my wife and my children.
