Bankruptcy
I like to take on cases where clients have a real need for a bankruptcy and are truly in debt to the point where they can't get out.
CA, Jun 2007
Bar Number: 249190
The Southern and Central District Federal Courts.
I have been a member of the State Bar of California since June of 2007 and the San Diego County Bar Association since June of 2007.
I've been taking classes at San Diego County Bar Association on various topics which are relevant both to bankruptcy and general legal practice.
I've dealt with many civil litigation cases. For example, I represented a client who bought a business from another party, but was lied to about the amount in the inventory. Our client filed a lawsuit claiming fraud and we prevailed. We were able to recover damages.

We've been focusing on representing debtors in bankruptcy cases for around 16 years and we've gone national since the firm's inception.
Our focus is to help people who are in distressed situations, mainly dealing with consumer debt.
I practiced general law including bankruptcy. About eight years ago, I was working in consumer bankruptcy on the creditor side of disputes.
I think it's great! I think everyone should be self-educated when approaching an attorney for assistance.
I am very willing to review documents prepared by clients.
I am unwilling to do coach clients who want to represent themselves because I would not want to be responsible for the outcome.
I wanted to be a lawyer because when I was growing up, I saw a lot of laypeople struggling with contracts and bigger issues. When I saw that, I wanted to help others in dealing with and understanding the complexities of the legal system.
I think that generally, I have experience dealing with many types of people, so my thinking isn't narrowly restricted. I am able to relate to others in order to better assist them.
First of all, I did bankruptcy work about 8 years ago and I really enjoyed helping clients leave much happier and optimistic than when they came in. I also worked for nonprofit organizations and I feel that it was a natural transition from that type of work to move on to bankruptcy.
I love meeting with clients. I think every time you meet a different person, you are introduced to a different, interesting story.
I think the people I work with are great and they are all team players. My paralegals are my backbone and my foundation.
My strengths are that I speak three languages and I am able to come up with solutions quickly. My style is very international and I aggressively represent my clients.
I love traveling, experimenting with different international foods, leaning new languages, camping, skiing and hiking.
