Firm Focus and History

Legal Helpers was founded in 1993 in Chicago Illinois. The St. Louis office was opened in 2002. Our firm specializes in consumer Bankruptcy. We also help clients with Fair Debt Collection Act violations. We also offer help with Worker's Compensation and Personal Injury cases.

Previous Employment Summary

I previously worked in another Consumer Bankruptcy firm for over one year before starting with Legal Helpers in 1998.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

A client needs to make informed decisions. There is a lot of inaccurate information from the Internet, relatives or friends. Always ask your attorney if you have a question. Making important decisions or taking action without the proper information can have serious consequences in a Bankruptcy case. We have our attorneys meet with clients, we don't' have our clerical staff doing the work of an attorney. When a client comes in to our office for the first time they will meet with an attorney not a secretary to get the proper advice and information for their case.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

In Bankruptcy, it's our job to prepare the documents based on information the clients provide to us. In general, a client will not prepare any Bankruptcy documents for their case. A client has to provide some documents such as tax returns and income documents (e.g. pay check stubs).

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

We are a full service Bankruptcy Firm. We handle the case so the client doesn't have to do anything on their own.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I wanted to serve people in need.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

All of my life experiences help me be a better lawyer.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I can usually assure my client that I can provide the relief that they are looking for and I can provide those results very quickly.

What do you like best about your career?

Giving back clients their future free of debt.

Tell us about your law firm:

All of the attorneys and clerical staff speak everyday to clients. We are pleased that we can offer personal attention and have a client speak to their attorney much more often than in other firms. All of the staff here works together to help our clients.

What are your strengths and style?

I am outspoken and honest.

Personal Interests:

Friends, family, and good health.
