What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I say that under the new laws, it is too complex. The answers are to case specific now. It is easier to ask an attorney questions.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

No, I am not.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I have chosen not to coach clients for their own protection.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

Because I wanted to protect people during difficult times, and help them to move forward with their lives.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

Having a BS and MA in Journalism and several years of newspaper experience as a reporter, photographer, and editor.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

Because it allows me to protect clients, which is consistent with my philosophy and nature.

What do you like best about your career?

I like that it allows me personal and profession contact with people in all stages of their lives.

Flats rates are quoted for Chapter 7 work. Most of the time I quote flat rates, but it goes on a case by case basis.

Hourly Rates

Some matters are by hourly rate: $200. This is determined on a case by case basis. Bankruptcy litigation on hourly rate only.
