Previous Employment Summary

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

The more a client understands about the process the better result they will achieve.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Generally I will not review documents prepared by clients.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I will coach only in rare circumstances as there are potential ethical and malpractice issues.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I had worked many years for a large organization. I wanted to have my own local business.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

About 20 years ago I worked in human resources and labor relations. I am an excellent listener who is able to calm people and clearly explain the actions they must take.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I decided to enter my market area after the stock market crash in 1987. There was an overwhelming demand for bankruptcy services.

What do you like best about your career?

I like actually being able to do something for clients that relieves their immediate stress, and positions them to full, satisfying, successful lives.

Tell us about your law firm:

At my firm all clients meet directly with the attorney who personally handles all aspects of the case. The only exception is the actual input of data. When a client calls with a question they speak with the attorney.

What are your strengths and style?

Some of my strengths are my ability to calm clients and put them at ease. This facilitates information gathering and problem identification. I am very direct and keep focused on the issue at hand.

Personal Interests:

Some of my personal interests are my kids, my grandkids, sailing and music.
