Our firm is focused on providing qualified representation to individuals who have suffered a serious injury.
The firm was founded in 1994 in Atlanta, Georgia, and has continued in the same office for over the last 18 years. The firm has regularly handled litigation in all of Georgia State and Federal Trial courts. In addition, the firm regularly handles appellate matters.
I served as a law clerk for Judge Dorothy Beasley on the Georgia Court of Appeals. I then served as a staff attorney to Superior Court Trial Judge James H. Weeks. Upon leaving my employment with Judge Weeks, I became employed as an attorney with Gorbey, Reeves, Moraitakis & Whiteman, an AV rated insurance defense law firm. I then founded my current firm now know as Katz, Stepp & Miller.
AV-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and former president of the DeKalb Bar Association.
I think it is extremely important for clients to educate themselves on legal issues. Unfortunately, very often the resources are not available to a client to do so in the absence of hiring qualified legal counsel.
We are glad to review any documents prepared by clients to assist us in evaluating their legal matters.
We are glad to speak to clients who have an interest in representing themselves so they can become more familiar with their legal matter(s).
I became a lawyer because I was fascinated by how the legal system worked. And because of my interest in assisting other whose rights have been violated.
I have a history of regularly doing volunteer work outside of the practice of law, and believe this has provided me with a better understanding of the personal challenges of others in their day to day lives.
I chose to practice in the personal injury area of law because I believe it was the best area in which I could serve individuals. In other areas of law your work generally involves representation of large corporations.
That I get to meet a large number of very interesting people from varying background and assist them with their legal problems.
I work directly with one other attorney and three paralegals. They all have a wonderful rapport with clients and are very knowledgeable in the areas in which they work.
I have a very strong background in litigation matters.
Volunteer work.
