I am a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the Central District Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys Association, the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum and the Inland Empire Bankruptcy Forum. To stay current with new developments in bankruptcy law, I regularly attend the monthly meetings of these groups and the annual national conferences. In addition, I take many hours of continuing legal education courses each year.

I have never had a dismissal. Every single bankruptcy case I've filed - and there have been many hundreds - has been a success. The only clients I have had who have not received a discharge are those whose cases are currently pending before the Court.
The largest amount discharged for a single client: I had a Bankruptcy client two years ago for whom I got rid of 2 million dollars worth of tax liabilities to the Franchise Tax Board and the IRS.
Typical example of protecting my clients' homes: I recently had Chapter 13 clients who had fallen behind on their post-Chapter 13 plan confirmation mortgage payments and were facing the loss of their house. The creditor in question had asked the bankruptcy judge to allow a foreclosure sale. I succeeded in stopping the foreclosure sale and arranged financing for my clients and now they have the house and are debt-free except for the current mortgage.

After working at a large law firm for several years, I wanted to use a more personal approach to my practice of law. This led me to open my own private practice so that I could interact directly with my clients and give them the individual attention they deserve. The result has been personally satisfying and much more rewarding for my clients.
I understand that there are many reasons why you might need to file for bankruptcy, and I appreciate your feelings about it. I will not judge you. My goal is to help you resolve your financial difficulties and get a fresh financial start. I am compassionate and caring, and at the same time professional and efficient. I will protect and defend your rights.
I worked as an associate attorney at Bingham McCutchen in downtown Los Angeles for two years. I also have a Ph.D. in mathematics from UCLA and have worked as a math professor at several universities.
It's fine with me. An informed client is better equipped to appreciate high quality service.
No. If I take a case from start to finish, I know it will be done correctly. If I do just a small part of a case, then I have no way of ensuring that the work will be error-free. In sum, I don't want the liability of client error if a client fails to follow my advice. The simplest way to avoid this type of liability is to take a case from start to finish.

I wanted to help the public to succeed in an area fraught with traps for the uninitiated. In particular, I feel that debtors are frequently taken advantage of by large creditors. My goal is to even the score.
I was a math professor, so I can clearly explain complex ideas to those without a technical background. Working as an educator with my students, I developed a great deal of patience, so I'm willing to take the time necessary to insure that my clients understand the relevant bankruptcy law and what I am doing for them.
I felt that creditors had an unfair advantage over debtors and I wanted to help debtors overcome this disadvantage.
Helping people restart their lives. It is enormously satisfying to give my client relief from their creditors—to enable them to live without fear of the telephone or of bills in their mail.
My focus is on extremely personalized service. I am with the client at every step of the process. I do not pass things off to a paralegal. If you don't need bankruptcy, I'll tell you. I will provide you with fast, accurate bankruptcy information, and a thorough analysis of all your options. If after your free phone consultation you decide to file for bankruptcy, I will take you every step of the way, protecting your rights and assets, and getting you the relief you are entitled to.
My office manager, who has Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Business - she too attended UCLA - maintains the business and is invaluable to me. She is also extremely detail oriented and keeps track of deadlines and the myriad of details involved in every case.
I am very hands on and very detail oriented. I am caring and patient and take the time to get things done correctly. I guide my clients through the process from start to finish.
