What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?
They absolutely have to. The biggest mistake people make is not educating themselves as to the legal ramification of the things they do.

Yes, it is a regular part of the corporate client practice.
Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?
No, bankruptcy is a very complicated area of law.
Why did you decide to be a lawyer?
Growing up I was always the mediator and would never take sides. I would always try to get everybody else to reconcile their differences logically. As I got older I started volunteering at various organizations such as Diabetes Research Institute, Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital and worked with juvenile delinquents through the jail system and found that I liked helping people.
What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?
My life experience helps me help people.
Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?
Bankruptcy is a fundamental tool in preserving my clients' finances and property.
What do you like best about your career?
I can truly make a difference is someone's life.

My staff is caring and puts the clients' needs first. I meet with clients personally and go over their individual cases and we figure out whatever solution is best for them. We are a casual firm and my goal is to put my clients at ease.

Uncontested Individual Chapter 7 cases start at $1,500 plus costs.
All attorneys charged the same fee for Uncontested Chapter 13 cases as it is regulated by local rule. The fee is $3,000 plus costs, however, part of the $3,000 is paid upfront and the balance is built into the Chapter 13 plan.
