I represent all types of clients in bankruptcy from simple Chapter 7 filings to complex bankruptcy litigation.

I have been a speaker at various seminars on Bankruptcy Law.
I have helped many small business owners reorganize, including a local florist. I also litigated a million dollar Default Judgment in Bankruptcy Court. Ultimately, the Court disallowed the creditor's claim. In addition, a lot of clients have
been able to save their homes by filing Chapter 13.

It is important for clients to get basic background information. Learn enough to be able to conversant with professionals (Lawyers, Accountants, and Doctors).
As a general rule, I do not like to review documents prepared by clients.
Generally, I do not engage in "coaching" clients to represent themselves. Clients are at an enormous disadvantage if there is counsel on the other side.
I decided to be a lawyer as I have always been interested in intellectual challenges. In addition, I enjoy being an advocate.
I relate to my clients more than most attorneys. I "worked through law school." I empathize and understand regular people - I am able to give direct "plain English" advice.
Initially, I was hired as a bankruptcy attorney. Twelve years later, I have made a career in this area of law.
I receive great satisfaction when my clients thank me for helping them keep their businesses/houses. Other clients are very relieved to get rid of their debt.
I am a sole practitioner, who meets with all clients. My legal assistants have been with me for 5 and 7 years respectively. We are all diligent and responsive to our clients' needs.
My strengths include that I am able to deal with complex issues/situations. I also am able to speak with different types of individuals "on their level." In terms of style, I seek to put my clients in positions where they can succeed.
I spend much of my non-work time at my children's activities and/or functions. I love coaching Little League football.
