Firm Focus and History

I have successfully represented many people's criminal defense cases for more than 20 years, and from this varied experience I am confident that I can advise and assist my clients with their criminal defense needs. I am committed to work hard on your case to help you receive the fair treatment you deserve.

Whether you have been charged with a misdemeanor or a felony, having an attorney at the beginning, just days after your arrest, can be extremely important. The longer you postpone hiring counsel, the greater the problem can become.

Previous Employment Summary

I was an airline attorney before starting my own practice 25 years ago.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

Oftentimes people are given false and/or misleading information by well-intentioned others, and I try to explain to them in a language they understand what their options are so that they have realistic expectations.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Yes.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

No.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

It it is a challenging profession, which offers many different opportunities.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

After practicing law for many years, I determined that assisting individuals was more satisfactory to me than working in a corporate environment.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

In criminal law, people's liberty and freedom are at stake. People charged with criminal offenses are particularly vulnerable to the system and need a capable advocate to ensure that their rights are protected.

What do you like best about your career?

As a sole practitioner, I can fashion my law practice so that I can expressly cater to the needs of my clients.

Tell us about your law firm:

I offer weekend hours, evening hours and payment plans, and I give my personal attention to each and every client.

What are your strengths and style?

I am prepared and able to work within the framework of my expertise and experience. I communicate well with my clients, judges, prosecutors and probation officers.

Personal Interests:

I enjoy spending time with my family and cooking.
