I believe that our clients deserve the best in legal care to protect their rights. We provide the highest standard in legal services through teamwork and by using the latest in legal technology and resources. In helping our clients and their families, we also hope to prevent future accidents and injuries by holding those who are responsible accountable for their negligence.
After receiving my CPA designation, I started my law career focusing on corporate tax law at a large, internationally recognized law firm. After a few years, I left to start my own practice. Although I have continued working for corporate clients, I gradually moved to trial work as I became more and more interested in helping individuals.
For the last 25 years, I have dedicated my practice to working for injured victims in their fight against big industries, insurance companies, and special interest groups. As corporate America has gained more control in the courtroom, I believe that now more than ever ordinary citizens need someone who will stand together with them and fight back.
I have been self-employed since 1974.
AV-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell's Law Directory.
I welcome clients who have an interest in educating themselves on legal issues and who are willing to share their findings with us. It has been my experience that a client educated on legal issues is better able to assist us in presenting his/her case to the jury.
Yes, as long as it involves an issue in an area where I feel confident in my abilities.
Yes. For years I have given instructions to persons who call my office as to how they might represent themselves in the small claims court and have encouraged them to file their complaints and proceed with self-representation.
Initially, it was because my father, who held a law degree, encouraged me to become an attorney.
Practicing law is a service profession and requires a desire to help other people. I have always enjoyed meeting new people, learning about their legal situations, and, with their help, determining a way to solve their problems. Many years of work experience have helped me to become a good listener who hears clients' concerns and can help them achieve resolution to their problems.
I began my legal career doing tax, corporate, and estate planning law, which places an emphasis on the drafting of documents rather than extensive communication with people. Over the years I moved more into the area of trial law and realized that I enjoyed dealing more with people than paper.
I most enjoy working with people and helping them to solve a problem which is of concern to them. The practice of law is very interesting, and I find that it provides an opportunity to learn a great deal about other areas such as medicine, science, and other fields of interest.
Our clients are served by one attorney, one legal assistant, and one clerical person, each who brings a unique prospective and viewpoint to the issues of a case. Depending on the case, I may also draw upon the experience and valued opinion of investigators, researchers, topical expert witnesses, and the other two attorneys with whom I share office space.
I feel that my strengths lie in my loyalty to all of my clients and in my sincere desire to solve their problems and achieve a good result for them. While I cannot guarantee a result, I can guarantee a strong effort to achieve a good result for them.
I have a very informal style of trying a lawsuit. It has been my experience that a jury relates better to an attorney who is honest, sincere and courteous than one who is harsh and abrasive. However, when the circumstances require force, I am quite capable of dealing with a witness or an attorney who wishes to create an issue that should not exist.
I have an AV professional rating from the legal directory, Martindale-Hubbell, and I am board certified in personal injury trial law. I also hold a CPA designation, which I obtained while attending law school and working part time.
My family, hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities, as well as reading and physical fitness.

Most matters are handled on a contingency basis. Occasionally, I am able to provide a fixed-price service in drafting a simple document for the client that does not require the approval of a third party.
When a matter requires a service to be performed on an hourly basis, the hourly rate is determined on a case by case basis, usually within the range of $200 to $300.
I provide free initial consultation on matters that are handled on a contingency fee basis. On matters that are handled on an hourly basis, I charge for the initial consultation to obtain the information necessary to prepare the documents for the client.
I typically do not require a retainer unless I am dealing with a new client who has a complex matter to be handled on an hourly basis.
