What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I think that it is wonderful.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Yes, depending on the case.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

No.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I don't like the system abusing or taking advantage of people.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

Everything I have ever done has involved dealing with people and much of being a lawyer requires dealing with people/clients/other lawyers/judges.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

When I first started practicing law, I realized that many lawyers were charging family law clients what I considered to be excessive fees. I believed that I could effectively represent people for less.

What do you like best about your career?

Resolving problems.

Tell us about your law firm:

I am a solo practitioner and have a very well qualified legal assistant who has 25 years of experience. I have been practicing in this community since 1988 and personally know all the judges and most of the other lawyers.

What are your strengths and style?

I am empathetic and capable. My style is to try to reach satisfactory solutions as amicably as possible.

Personal Interests:

I garden I enjoy reading and traveling to interesting places.
