I encourage clients to seek and gain an understanding of the intricacies of the criminal justice system. It is essential that clients educate themselves about the charges that they face and possible punishments.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

Prior to law school, I performed volunteer work in a Public Defender's office and was employed as a criminal defense investigator. This work spurred on my decision to become a criminal defense attorney.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

My 24 years of practicing in the field of criminal defense, my continuing education and my teaching in the field of criminal justice make me a better lawyer.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I am fascinated by the field of criminal law. Moreover, I am motivated to help those in need, especially victims of abuse of governmental authority.

What I like the best about my career is the flexibility it offers.
