I began my firm in January of 2006. My focus is primarily on Family Law because of my background as an RN and dealing with families in crisis.

I think that it is wonderful.

Yes.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

Yes, I do a large amount of limited scope representation.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I enjoy helping people through a very difficult and challenging time in their lives in a system that is very hard for non-lawyers to navigate.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

My years as a nurse, working with critically ill children and their families, working with families facing end-of-life issues.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I enjoy helping families through a difficult time.

What do you like best about your career?

I like the independence and the intellectual stimulation.

Tell us about your law firm:

I have a small office (myself and my office manager) and we pride ourselves on giving individual attention to all of our clients. I pick up phone messages even on evenings and weekends and pride myself in returning messages within 24 hours.

What are your strengths and style?

My strength is my ability to deal with a wide assortment of individuals and the ability to meet their individual needs. I enjoy dealing with clients of different ethnic and religious backgrounds. I am comfortable with non-traditional families and I enjoy working with a diverse client population.
