Trust Law Group provides quality legal services and advice to individuals in need of estate planning and assistance with probate matters. We are committed to building long-term relationships with our clients while assisting them in carrying out their wishes in today's ever-changing legal landscape. We understand the personal nature of these matters and will help our clients, within the appropriate legal and ethical constraints, to achieve their goals and to protect their interests. We believe that estate planning is a continual process that must be revisited regularly to ensure that goals are still being met. We understand that many probate matters can span long periods and believe that by building relationships from the beginning, we can better assist our clients in handling these matters.
Trust Law Group was established in 2006 after the closing of my prior firm due to the untimely death of its owner. I decided to take the initiative to open my own practice so that I could continue to serve the clients with whom I had built relationships.
After law school, but prior to beginning my legal career, I worked for the IRS in Washington, DC. I worked in the Tax Exempt Organizations Division planning workshops and other educational items to assist small and mid-sized charities in understanding their responsibilities to maintain their tax exempt status. I began my legal career working for a small estate planning and probate firm in Glendale, California, where I gained considerable experience handling all aspects of probate and estate planning matters.
I am active in my local bar associations and other community organizations. Additionally, as Trust Law Group is a new firm, I am actively working to market our services to those who would benefit from our assistance.
I believe it is very important that clients have a basic understanding of the legal issues and processes involved in their matters, so I applaud clients who work to educate themselves. I believe it also helps me to better assist my client if they are interested in understanding the legal issues involved in their matter. With some basic knowledge, a client is more likely to pay attention to the important details that can be important in estate planning and probate matters.
I am willing to review documents prepared by clients, although it is usually more cost-effective for the client to have me draft any legal documents they may need.
I am not willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves, especially as clients involved in probate matters will benefit from obtaining counsel who can handle the time-consuming aspects of their matter.
To be honest, I went to law school because I needed to do something after college and did not yet know what I wanted to be. I became a lawyer because I enjoy helping people find solutions to their problems and plan for the future. I enjoy assisting people in caring for and protecting their loved ones.
I think that every work experience and every client I assist helps to make me a better lawyer. I seek out education opportunities to increase my knowledge in my practice areas. Finally, I believe that simply interacting with others and attempting to understand everyone's situation helps make be a more attentive and understanding lawyer.
I chose estate planning and probate because it allows me to help clients in a vulnerable position gain more control over their lives and protect their loved ones.
I enjoy knowing that I have helped a client to feel they have more control over the situations in their life.
I am a solo practitioner, so all of my clients deal directly with me on all aspects of their matter.
I am very hands-on and attentive to my clients.
I like to try to find the most common sense and simple solution to a problem. I believe that it benefits both me and my clients to simple, yet thorough explanations of the legal issues involved in their matter so that we can work together to reach the most beneficial solution.
I enjoy spending time with my husband and our cats, enjoying good food and wine with family and friends, and traveling to new and exciting places.

For basic estate plans, including a trust, will, durable power of attorney, health care directive, and transfer of one piece of real property, the fixed fee is generally $1,500 for a single person and $2,500 for a couple; however, these prices may vary depending on the complexity of the estate plan. Probate administrations are a fixed fee based on the statutory compensation as laid out in the Probate Code.
$250 per hour; $300 per hour in court-supervised matters.
I offer a free half hour initial consultation; however, this does not include any document review or specific legal advice.
Typically one-half of any fixed fee service or $1,500 for other services. Probate administrations, guardianships, and conservatorships generally do not require a retainer unless the matter will be contested or involve litigation.
Attorneys have passed a licensing check. Nolo has confirmed that every member attorney has a valid license and is in good standing with the applicable bar associations upon joining the directory.
Directory lawyers are required to notify Nolo immediately if they become the subject of any disciplinary action by any bar association.
