Firm Focus and History

We have been a firm for over 10 years and our only focus is to serve disabled clients across the country.

Previous Employment Summary

I have been an attorney for 14 years doing disability law, as well as working as a legal clerk for criminal and corporate law firms.

Activities and Awards

Pro bono work for the disabled, worked in the past with the Houston Young Lawyers disability sector, judged mock trials at S. Texas School of Law and have conducted CLE's in Social Security Law, as well as served as secretary, treasurer and board member of the HBA Social Security Section.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I think it is wonderful if they have access to the internet as well books on the pertinent issues. Knowledge is power.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

This is a must in order to prudently represent my claimant.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

This is almost impossible in my field, as most administrative law judges make the claimants obtain legal representation.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I became an attorney to further help disabled people, as this was my major in college.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

Seminars, hearings, and discussions with judges help me to be a better lawyer.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I have been interested in helping the disabled since college and this specialty is how I can accomplish this goal.

What do you like best about your career?

I enjoy helping others who really need it.

Tell us about your law firm:

Everyone in my practice (attorneys and staff) have been working in this field for a long time and are all very experienced. They are all pleasant, knowledgeable and eager to assist.

What are your strengths and style?

I have a passion for my job as well as experience.

I am organized and to the point.

Personal Interests:

I enjoy traveling, reading, exercising and playing with my kids.
