Self education is a good thing if it helps a client work constructively with the attorney. Some clients, however, may lack the necessary time or background to do this productively.
I am very willing to do so -- an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
Only regarding claims that need to be brought to small claims court.
I enjoy problem solving, meeting new people, and learning about new things.
Aside from the obvious (my years of experience and legal education), my full time work to put myself through college and law school made me compassionate and respectful of people with tough legal challenges.
Real estate and construction problems are tangible, always at least a little unique, and, like going to court, allow me to get out of the office.
The best thing is working with clients to solve their problems in a creative way.
I am the principal attorney of Long Law Offices, and am able to associate with trusted colleagues on an as-needed basis.
My ability to create order out of a chaotic legal situation and lead my client to the best solution under the circumstances.
Friendly, calm, determined.
Coaching youth sports, mountain biking, golf, my wife and children, my three dogs, and reading (not in that order!).
