Firm Focus and History

I have been in private practice for over 23 years. The firm's focus is on small clients who need legal and accounting advice and have the desire to get that advice from one firm.

Previous Employment Summary

I worked for Fox & Co for nine months (necessary to get accounting experience to receive a CPA certificate); formed my own firm afterward with which I am still associated.

Activities and Awards

I have been and am a member of numerous nonprofit boards providing strategic, legal and accounting advice.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

The more informed the client is, the better I am able to provide accurate legal and accounting advice, especially tax advice.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I do this on a regular basis.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I have done so numerous times, with appropriate disclaimers.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

To assist clients in achieving their business goals and help them solve the problems they face.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

In addition to being an attorney, I am also a CPA. Being involved in charity work helps me to understand people's needs and the pressures they face; I have done financial counseling for people facing financial crises. I have also been in senior management for numerous companies in the midst of operating law firm.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I like the challenge of helping a client maneuver around the system and use the system to beat itself--the best area to do that is in tax law.

What do you like best about your career?

I enjoy helping my clients.

Tell us about your law firm:

The goal of the firm is to have the attorney easily accessible to clients while utilizing staff efficiently.

What are your strengths and style?

I can predict future problems and find solutions to solve them. I understand the nature of small businesses and the pressure they face.

Easy going.

Personal Interests:
