The firm was founded in the 60's. Our primary focus at the time was representing young men charged with refusing induction and service personnel resisting orders to Vietnam. Our current focus is Social Security cases and representing employees in claims against their employers, particularly sex harassment claims. I have been associated with this firm since 1969.
I have been practicing law with the same firm since February 1980.
I am a board member and past Board President of BOSS (Building Opportunities for Self Sufficiency). I am also a Board member for the TriCity Health Clinic.
A client understanding their own case is key in Social Security law. Most frequently these cases are resolved at hearing where the client's testimony is critical. The better a client understand his or her own case, the better the hearing is likely to go. Clients are welcome to educate themselves. It is also a big part my job to aid in the education.
I am happy to do it.
Yes, depending on the stage of the case.
Prior to going to law school I was working as an investigator in the legal system and it was a natural progression.
I have represented clients in all levels of the process from the district office, through the hearings level, in the United States District Court, and before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Social security law involves providing financial assistance and access to medical care for people that desperately need it.
There is terrific satisfaction in winning cases and changing people's lives in some measure.
Although we have a great staff, I remain focused on my clients' cases and am available to answer questions, provide information, and advise as necessary.
I am accessible to my clients.
Quality, respectful representation to my clients.
I enjoy living everyday.
