I have successfully won: approval for E-2, L-1 and H-1B petitions where the company petitioning was a new start-up with only a few employees; family based green cards where there were difficult and challenging out of status issues; approvals on O petitions for persons of extraordinary ability for an opera singer, chess master, painters and scientists; a green card for a complex employment based case where the client had a non-traditional education and job description; won an appeal of I-601 extreme hardship waiver for the wife of a U.S. Citizen.

Founded in 2000, The Law Office of Christine Troy provides high quality legal services to all clients. My focus is on family and employment visas and green cards. All aspects of each case are handled directly by Christine Troy (unlike large firms that hand most cases off to paralegals). Many immigration cases face unforeseen legal obstacles, and the application process is often stressful on you, your family and your employer. In order to minimize this stress, all procedures, options, problems and recommendations are explained and discussed up front. As a result of this thorough hands-on approach, my office has had great success obtaining green cards and visas for applicants, even when other legal offices told them there was no solution.

Prior to opening my own office, I worked for a well-known immigration firm in downtown San Francisco. My previous employment history also includes employment as a domestic violence counselor and internships with Legal Aid of Marin and Earthjustice.

I attend numerous seminars on new law, including the AILA national conference when appropriate and continually read up on new developments on immigration law.
