Between 1981 and 1993, I worked with famed attorney, Melvin M. Belli, Sr. When I departed in 1993, I did so as Melvin M. Belli, Sr.'s law partner.
Together Mr. Belli and I tried numerous cases. Since 1993, I have continued to represent the interest sustaining traumatic brain injury and other catastrophic harm. The Scarlett Law Group follows the ideal that a small group of dedicated professionals can make a difference, no matter what the challenge. The Scarlett Law Group built on the trial experience and courtroom victories one client at a time.
The firm size allows me to remain personally involved in virtually every case accepted for handling. By limiting our practice for maximum effectiveness, we offer our clients the personal attention required to bring a case to successful fruition.
I actively encourage clients to educate themselves in legal issues, an informed decision can only be formed by an informed individual. To this end, I work with clients to ensure client understanding at each essential phase of the case. While our client education is necessary, however, on many cases only a lawyer can assess a client's complete (legal) health -- by investigating the facts, researching the latest developments in the law, applying his legal training and experience, and advising the client their alternatives. A good lawyer can spot the jagged rocks that might lie below the waters of a seemingly simple dispute and can help you plan a cause of action to avoid them.
I will review all documents relevant to a case.
The Scarlett Law Group provides free consultation but unfortunately cannot commit to coaching clients that wish to represent themselves.
My father, a Harvard Law School graduate, was Counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee under President John F. Kennedy. My father went on to serve as Dean of the Drake University Law School and the Wake Forest University School of Law. Surprisingly, however, while I grew up in a legal household, I did not immediately join the profession. Ultimately, it was my desire to help consumers and others harmed as a result of negligence and other wrongful conduct that drove me to the practice of law.
I have worked in the legal profession representing injured individuals in various capacities since 1981. For 25 years, he has worked to better plight of those sustaining injury, damages and harm.
Out of a desire to better assist those in need.
Changing people's lives is extremely satisfying.
The Scarlett Law Group is a boutique consumer trial firm that follows the ideal that a small group of highly trained individuals can make a difference in a client's case, no matter what the challenge. The firm is highly selective in its case selection. Once the firm commits the representation of a client, however, all resources are utilized.
The trial and resolution of cases involving traumatic brain injury, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and other serious wrongs.
