Business Law
I enjoy helping clients in a variety of business enterprises who have a broad range of needs, and with whom I develop a relationship. These needs can be formation and transactional, as well as resolving contract disputes or ADA claims.
Family Law
I enjoy serving men and women from all walks of life. Although it is enjoyable to work with parties that are amicable, I enjoy helping any party that is being unfairly treated and correcting that kind of situation.

At the Law Office of William R. Fuhrman in San Diego, California, we bring 30 years of law practice and trial experience to every case. Our firm was built on the ideals of providing assertive, conscientious and reasonably priced legal representation to individuals facing difficult divorce and family law issues. We encourage clients to be forthcoming about their concerns so that we can help alleviate them.
In addition to our extensive family law practice, we offer counsel to clients throughout the San Diego area on:
* Criminal defense
* Business law
* Personal injury
* Landlord / tenant law
* Real estate law
* Special education law
Upon graduation from law school, I worked for three and a half years as a public defender, defending cases that ranged from DUI to homicide. Then, I was a partner in Avery & Fuhrman, principally doing criminal defense and family law, and slowly acquiring business clients. Then, I became a partner in Adkins, Fuhrman & Holthaus, doing less criminal and more family law, business and civil. In 1994, I joined The Corona Firm, becoming one of only two partners during the last three years. In February of 2005, Glenna deCamara Eubank and I opened our current offices together. She practices special education law and was a California administrative law judge for 8 of her previous 10 years, and a partner in a firm which did education law.
I am an emeritus member of the board of directors of Big Brothers & Big Sisters of San Diego County, of which I am a past president. I provide occasional legal assistance and advice to my fellow members of the La Costa 35 league which plays year-round softball.
I respect those clients who: 1. Learn from trusted resources, 2. Check with more than one resource, 3. Learn all side of the issues.
As an experienced trial attorney, I enjoy helping and educating clients to help themselves when it makes sense that they do so. I think I am a good teacher.
To reiterate, as an experienced trial attorney, I enjoy helping and educating clients to help themselves where it make sense that they do so. I think I am a good teacher.
I enjoy helping people and like the variety of subjects that are presented. I also like the people I meet and get to know in the practice of law. I like people and being my own boss.
As a criminal defense attorney, I learned to advocate difficult positions and to find the good in most everyone. In representing business clients, I have learned to analyze the needs to craft effective solutions, which has a carry-over effect in representing other clients, including family law clients. Further, I have had training as a mediator and served as a clerk to municipal court judges and a judge pro tempore-- all of which provides a view of all perspectives and judgment.
The areas in which I practice fulfill the reasons I decided to become an attorney.
The best times are those when a client's joy or relief demonstrates their appreciation that I have met their needs and shown them I care.
Glenna deCamara Eubank has been an attorney for more than 25 years, 8 of which as a Special Education Administrative Law Judge for California.
Carolynn Vivaldi has been a family law attorney for 13+ years. She has recently joined us and does a comprehensive job for every client she serves.
Morgan Stevens is a certified paralegal who has worked with me for 23+ years. She is bright, thorough, and patient. She produces quality work and clients love her.
Frances Erickson has been a legal assistant for 4+ years and about 1/2 year with me. She is outgoing and committed to helping our family law clients. In addition to doing good paralegal work, she is promptly responsive to clients and gives them reassurance that they appreciate.
I have confidence, persistence and the ability to gauge when to use the carrot, and when to use the stick. Also, I possess a broad range of experience and knowledge that benefits clients whose focuses are narrower.
I am friendly with a touch of humor until resistance from opposition compels firm assertiveness.
My personal interests are the people in my life: my daughter and her boyfriend, my fiancé and her children; 3-pitch softball with LaCosta 35; Big Brothers & Sisters of San Diego; reading and watching professional baseball, football and basketball.
