The Law Offices of Robert A. Goodman was established in 1997. We focus on helping people get through a very difficult time in the quickest, most painless matter. We specialize in all aspects of family law including divorce, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, and property division. We offer top quality, highly effective representation. We are easily accessible to all of our clients and combine zealous advocacy with compassionate representation in assisting each client in meeting his/her goals.
I began my practice as a solo practitioner. I am now the managing partner of a five attorney family law firm specializing in divorce.
I sit as a Judge Pro Tem in Alameda County Family Law Departments.
I believe that the more information a client has the better. "Information is power."
I am glad to review documents for clients under the appropriate circumstances.
I am glad to coach clients who want to represent themselves under the appropriate circumstances.
I decided to be a lawyer because I wanted to be able to make a difference in people's lives.
My experience as a Family Law Attorney for over nine years and the hundreds of hours of family law continuing education classes that I have attended help me to be a better lawyer.
I wanted to practice in a specialty that requires a great deal of skill in counseling people going through a very difficult period in their lives.
I love making a difference in people's lives.
I have three superb associates who primarily handle the complex litigation cases. We often work on cases as a team, resulting in better results at a lower cost for the client.
My unique strength and expertise is my knowledge of the law combined with an ability to help clients understand the cost/benefit of their decisions.
I prefer resolving disputes through mediation and collaborative law. Litigation should be used as a last resort.
My personal interests include politics, travel, and theater.
