The firm was established in 1998. We focus on all types of civil litigation, business and commercial litigation, real estate law, employment litigation, copyright, trademark, intellectual property, and securities litigation.
Before forming my own firm in 1998, I worked for over twenty years in a large, national firm in Los Angeles both as a partner and associate, and as a partner in two mid-sized firms in San Diego.
I have been an Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, and served as an Arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers.
I believe it is important for clients to understand their legal rights and to be kept fully informed of all aspects of their matters and cases.

Yes.
The decision was a natural progression from my life-long interest in politics and government.
Thirty-one years successfully litigating hundreds of civil cases before state and federal trial and appellate courts, administrative agencies and commercial arbitrators have helped me be a better lawyer. The years have given me extensive experience in trademark, copyright, corporate and commercial law, federal and state securities, broker-dealer liability, employment, professional liability, distribution, international trade and all business tort and contract disputes. I have also achieved the highest "AV" rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
Our clients have shown an increasing need for intellectual property representation, which correspondingly has become a major growth area of the firm's practice.
Learning about my clients' diverse businesses and interests is what I enjoy most.
Our work product is every bit as good as what you would expect from major firms, at far less cost to our clients.
I deeply care about my clients, most of whom have been with me for many years.
I am open, informal, accessible, pragmatic, and direct.
I enjoy skiing, snowboarding, racquetball, and wine.
