I believe that it is extremely important for clients to retain counsel in almost every case. It is important for clients to educate themselves, but critical that they retain counsel as well.
Yes, I am wiling to review documents prepared by clients.
No, I am not willing to coach clients that want to represent themselves.
I decided to be a lawyer to assist clients and their families during one of the most stressful and difficult times of their life.
All my professional experience as an attorney helps me be a better lawyer.
Criminal law is the area of law that people need the most help and need someone to advocate on their behalf.
I like helping clients change areas of their lives that have lead them to make poor decisions.
We have seven attorneys in the office who practice criminal defense, four are listed as Northern California Super Lawyers and three are listed in the peer reviewed publication Best Lawyers in America. We also have an investigator with over twenty five years of experience in criminal justice investigations.
The firm is rated A-V by Martindale Hubbell and is listed in Martindale Hubbell's Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
We share ideas on difficult cases or issues on a daily basis and at weekly attorney meetings. Our support staff are caring and experienced professionals who share our commitment to our clients and to getting the best possible result in every case.
My expertise is representing teachers accused of committing crimes. In addition to representing them in criminal cases, I also have expertise in representing teachers before the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing regarding their license status.
I am patient and understanding with clients. I am always well-prepared, tenacious and thorough in trial or hearing.
I enjoy travel.

Every case is different. We work closely with clients to try to achieve the best possible result within their resources.
$300 per hour
We do not charge for a consultation if a client is seriously interested in engaging our services but decides for any reason not to hire the firm.
The initial conference with a lawyer often takes from two to four hours and is a critical stage in our representation. We charge for our time at this conference if we are retained. We do not offer free consultations to clients who want a second opinion concerning their current counsel, as such opinions usually require extensive documents and legal research.
Every case is different. Our retainer fees vary, from several thousand dollars in less serious misdemeanor cases, to fifty thousands or more in very complicated or serious felony matters. The requested retainer in most felony matters range between $7,500 and $25,000.
Attorneys have passed a licensing check. Nolo has confirmed that every member attorney has a valid license and is in good standing with the applicable bar associations upon joining the directory.
Directory lawyers are required to notify Nolo immediately if they become the subject of any disciplinary action by any bar association.
