I fulfill all of my hours.
I have written many articles for India West, India Journal, India Post, Qué Pasa Magazine, and the California Examiner, also a Pilipino publication, focusing on the immigration consequences of domestic violence.
I have gotten asylum approved for a young man from El Salvador who was solicited by gang members and then persecuted by them. I have also helped a woman from Bangladesh. She was a victim of domestic violence and I was able to get green cards for her and her entire family. I recently helped two immigrant women who were married to American men. The women were victims of domestic violence. I handled their divorces and got both women green cards.
I am currently representing an Iranian woman who has converted to Judaism. She will face persecution issues if she goes back to Iran, so we are working to grant her asylum. The other asylum case I am handling is for a gay man from Kuwait, who will also face persecution issues if he is forced to go back.

I established this firm on my own after gaining experience at other firms. We are a full-service law firm serving the Professional and Business Community in Immigration Law, Employment Law, Family Law, Entertainment Law, Intellectual Property, Business Litigation, and Bankruptcy.
I worked for an Intellectual Property law firm, acted as in-house counsel for an insurance defense law firm, and worked at a patent law firm before establishing my own firm.

Clients should be educated; it makes the lawyer's job easier if clients are knowledgeable and can give valuable input to all the documents and work generated by the attorney.

Yes.
I wanted to help other people.
To begin with, I have a different background; I came from a science background. I worked in the labs as a research associate, and have experience being very hands-on. This has carried over to my legal career. I am very hands-on with my cases; I do the work myself. I can also relate well to my clients issues, specifically when I am working with South Asian/Asian women who are immigrants.
I'm part of an ethnic immigrant community where family law and immigration were the main things needed by the people.
My career is flexible and rewarding because getting proper immigration status for people has a huge value.
I have people working at my firm who can speak Spanish and many different languages. One of the women who works with me has over 20 years of immigration experience.
I have a diverse background and I'm flexible with payments. I also have fixed rate plans; I rarely charge by the hour.
I like a lot of client interaction and I'm pretty laid back and easy-going. I do things beforehand, not in the last minute, so I am always prepared.
I'm involved with many non-profit organizations including the Weingart Foundation and the Asian American Action Fund. I also frequently do pro bono work for immigrants.
