What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

It is very impoprtant for the client to be educated on important legal issues.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I always review documents for clients and tell them that they are the person who knows their situation the best and that if there is any work they can do or input they can give, I appreciate it and give them encouragement.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

Absolutely. There are many times that small claims is the best route for a client to go, or a client might get sued in small claims and they need a little help preparing documents and getting organized. Also, sometimes it helps to simply talk to someone who has been there before, and I can provide that assistance as well.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I enjoy helping others to exploit opportunities and solve problems. I also enjoy working for myself, which allows me to spend time with my family.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

After 17 years of working with a great variety of businesses and individuals, along with hundreds of hours of continuing legal education, I am confident that I can steer my clients in the right direction.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I like running my business and I like to see others grow and succeed in business.

What do you like best about your career?

I like finding a solution that adds value to my client's interests.

I am best able to do that by spending time with you and getting to know you and understand your legal needs. I enjoy meeting with my clients at their businesses so that I understand the needs of that particular business.

As a sole practitioner, I am able to control my caseload, thus allowing myself the time I need to truly serve you.

What are your strengths and style?

I strive to provide my clients whatever level of service they want and need.

I am generally relaxed and look to avoid confrontation. However, when the situation demands aggressive action, I will zealously represent my client's interests.
