Business Law
I enjoy working with businesses and entrepreneurs at all stages, from start-ups to mature to family businesses; and individuals who need assistance to capitalize on an opportunity, reduce liability, resolve disputes or engage in litigation.
I enjoy working with individuals and businesses in a wide array of commercial litigation matters, including enforcement of employment contracts, real estate matters, insurance disputes, and many other areas of commercial disputes.

Special Damages for Breach of Contract, published by the Oregon State Bar as part of a two-volume set on Damages for the past 10 years.
On the business law side, I recently assisted a husband and wife in the multi-million dollar sale of their business to a large, publically traded corporation, after incorporating their business approximately ten years earlier. On the litigation side, I sucessfully defended a retail business client against a frivolous claim which was brought by a "powerhouse" West Coast law firm.

After 15 years of working with both small and medium-sized law firms, I have been working as a solo-praticioner for the last two years.
I have worked at both medium and small firms.

It is very impoprtant for the client to be educated on important legal issues.
I always review documents for clients and tell them that they are the person who knows their situation the best and that if there is any work they can do or input they can give, I appreciate it and give them encouragement.
Absolutely. There are many times that small claims is the best route for a client to go, or a client might get sued in small claims and they need a little help preparing documents and getting organized. Also, sometimes it helps to simply talk to someone who has been there before, and I can provide that assistance as well.
I enjoy helping others to exploit opportunities and solve problems. I also enjoy working for myself, which allows me to spend time with my family.
After 17 years of working with a great variety of businesses and individuals, along with hundreds of hours of continuing legal education, I am confident that I can steer my clients in the right direction.
I like running my business and I like to see others grow and succeed in business.
I like finding a solution that adds value to my client's interests.
Your legal services should work for you and your business. I have built my practice around serving my clients. As a client, you can reach me directly any time via office phone or my personal mobile phone. I provide one-on-one counseling and personalized legal solutions. My goal is to provide you with the legal services you need to protect yourself and make your business successful. I am best able to do that by spending time with you and getting to know you and understand your legal needs. I enjoy meeting with my clients at their businesses so that I understand the needs of that particular business.
As a sole practitioner, I am able to control my caseload, thus allowing myself the time I need to truly serve you.
I strive to provide my clients whatever level of service they want and need.
I am generally relaxed and look to avoid confrontation. However, when the situation demands aggressive action, I will zealously represent my client's interests.
I enjoy seasonal outdoor sports (skiing, hiking, etc.), watching and coaching my children's sports, and relaxing with my family.
