Firm Focus and History

I started in general practice six years ago. I then began to narrow it down to bankruptcy. That is what I primarily do now.

Previous Employment Summary

I have had many jobs in many areas. This is one of the reasons for my focus on bankruptcy: I can relate to my clients because I have been in their shoes.

Activities and Awards

I focus on helping my clients.

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I support it. I want my client to know what is going on.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I do it often

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I have been known to do it. I try to help people. I have often referred them to Nolo's website when they cannot afford my services. However, it does require some care.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I got a taste when I worked for a short time as a legal clerk. Then, using Nolo books, I got some experience with my own cases (small claims and a divorce). I liked the law and decided to do it for real.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

I have had a wide range of employment experience and business ventures.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I do not like the way creditors treat debtors. Most are good people that just got in over their head. Bankruptcy helps them get back on their feet.

What do you like best about your career?

I feel like Robin Hood taking on the big credit companies.

Tell us about your law firm:

Sandra is a wonderful lady who is a huge help to me.

What are your strengths and style?

I am a good poker player. Poker and the law are VERY similar.

I speak softly and carry a big law book.

Personal Interests:

Poker and helping people.

Nolo's Licensing Check

Attorneys have passed a licensing check. Nolo has confirmed that every member attorney has a valid license and is in good standing with the applicable bar associations upon joining the directory.

Directory lawyers are required to notify Nolo immediately if they become the subject of any disciplinary action by any bar association.
